Responsibilities

  1. Government Liaison

    • Act as the primary contact with local authorities, government departments, and regulatory bodies (municipal, urban development, environmental agencies).
    • Ensure timely acquisition of permits, licenses, and approvals for projects (construction permits, land use clearances, etc.).
  2. Documentation & Approvals

    • Prepare, submit, and track documents required for government approvals.
    • Maintain records of applications, permissions, and correspondences.
  3. Internal Coordination

    • Collaborate with legal, planning, and project management teams to ensure regulatory compliance.
    • Keep teams updated on approvals, permits, and regulatory changes.
  4. Stakeholder Management

    • Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders (government officials, local bodies, community representatives).
    • Attend meetings and hearings to present project information and resolve concerns.
  5. Compliance Monitoring

    • Ensure projects comply with zoning laws, building codes, and environmental regulations.
    • Monitor the status of applications and approvals, ensuring timely processing.
  6. Conflict Resolution

    • Address objections or issues from local authorities and stakeholders, negotiating solutions to prevent delays.
    • Proactively resolve regulatory challenges and mitigate project risks.
  7. Reporting & Updates

    • Provide regular progress updates to senior management.
    • Prepare reports summarizing the status of approvals, documentation, and regulatory compliance.
  8. Required Skills & Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Law, Business, Real Estate, or related field. Master’s degree or relevant certifications are a plus.
